Should You Have an Indoor or Outdoor Wedding?

Indoor or outdoor? That is the age-old question when it comes to planning your wedding. The answer is an individual choice. For me, it is all about an outdoor Maui beach wedding. For someone else, it may be an indoor church service. But whatever your preference is, you should weigh the pros and cons of each choice before you decide.

The great thing about an indoor wedding ceremony, is that the weather is all under your control. Since you are inside, you don't have to worry about rain or wind conditions. On the down side, you may have to alter your image of your perfect wedding to suit the venue.

Outdoor weddings offer gorgeous scenery and a memorable wedding experience. On the other hand, you will need to consider the time you are getting married (lighting) and the weather conditions where you plan to tie the knot.

There are pros and cons to both indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies. What type of venue would you prefer?

Picking Your Wedding Song

Source: squidoo.com via Shannon on Pinterest

Your first dance as husband and wife....it requires the perfect wedding song. That is a lot of pressure when it comes to choosing your song. So, how do you narrow it down?

Start by thinking about songs that reflect your relationship. Listen to the lyrics and see which ones start to stand out to you. This will help you narrow down songs. Before you make any sort of selection, ask yourself - can you see you two dancing to this song together?

If you haven't found the perfect song yet, consider a live musician or band. They can add a totally different flavour to the couples dance at your wedding ceremony.

Do you have any idea of what your wedding song would be?

Why Maui?

Why Maui? I've mentioned in previous posts that my dream wedding would take place in Maui, Hawaii. I thought I would dedicate this post to exactly why this is my dream wedding location.

I haven't yet been there in person, but even from pictures and videos I have seen, I have completely fallen in love. A Maui beach wedding ceremony seems like the most beautiful and romantic spot to dedicate your life to the person you love.

With the sun setting behind you, the perfect weather, and a soft breeze ruffling your hair, how could there be a better spot to get married in than Maui, Hawaii? There are also great elopement packages in Hawaii!

I have just about every aspect of my dream Maui wedding planned out - from the flowers to the beach. I can't help but picture the happiest day of my life in beautiful Maui.

Creative Wedding Ideas - The Guestbook

Long gone are the traditional wedding guestbooks that everyone forgets to sign. You can really make your wedding stand out by getting creative with the smaller details, like the guestbook. Want to make your guestbook stand out? Here are some great things to think about.

One fun alternative is thumbprint art. This is certainly a unique way of leaving your mark! Have your guests sign a meaningful item or have guests write notes to hang from a tree, like the picture above. These are just a few cute guestbook ideas I am loving at the moment.

One thing that I am really loving about wedding ideas lately, are how creative they have become! Do you have any creative guestbook ideas?

Wedding Packages or Ala Carte?

There is so much to think about when you are planning any wedding. Especially when you are being mindful of money. One of the first things you should consider when you start your wedding preparations: Do you want a wedding package or to choose from ala carte options?

Ala carte options allow you to choose exactly what you want at your wedding, which is certainly a plus. However, there are a ton of great wedding packages to choose from, especially if you want an island wedding.

Wedding packages can be a great value. You may end up getting more bang for your buck. So compare what each package has to offer with what you want at your wedding. This is a great way to save some money and get exactly what you want at your wedding.

The Importance Of The Wedding Toast

Whether you have a big wedding ceremony, or a small, intimate ceremony, the wedding toast is an important ritual for any couple. It symbolizes the beginning of a new life together. This romantic moment is not to be missed.

An apple cider toast on the beach  is a romantic addition to any beach wedding ceremony. Not only is the toast a symbolic and meaningful moment for the happy couple, but the toast can also enhance the overall wedding experience.

I love looking at pictures of a newly married couple drinking apple cider or champagne and looking deeply into each others eyes. When I think of my perfect wedding experience, I picture that toast with a gorgeous Maui beach in the background - I can't think of a better moment.

Vow Renewal on a Budget?

As I have mentioned in previous posts, my parents have been thinking about a vow renewal. With Christmas not too far behind us, I thought it would be a good idea to look at some affordable vow renewal options.

There are so many ways to have a beautiful vow renewal ceremony at an affordable price. If you have a budget to consider, all you need to do is really focus on the most important aspects of your vow renewal ceremony.

Opt for a simple, intimate beach wedding instead of an elaborate ceremony. The scenery is romantic and beautiful - and will fit your budget perfectly! If you choose a wedding package, this can also reduce the cost of your beach vow renewal.

I can't think of a better way to save money and get re-married in paradise.

Adding Special Touches To Your Wedding

The amazing thing about wedding ceremonies, is how diverse they can be. While much of a wedding ceremony is based on traditions, they can be tailor made to suit your personality and what you want. Perhaps that is why so many of us spend years dreaming up our perfect day!

One special way to add an extra personal touch to your wedding day is by releasing doves or butterflies after your wedding ceremony.

Doves are kept in a white Victorian cage for the bride and groom to release immediately following the ceremony. Remember, doves mate for life! This dove release can be a beautiful symbol of your new life together.

If you choose to release butterflies after your wedding ceremony, you will release them from a small box, where they will linger before flying away.

Are you a fan of these special, romantic touches at a wedding?

Your Hair For The Big Day

Source: brides.com via Shannon on Pinterest

On your wedding day, hair is super important. You want to look your best, after all! There are so many variations - loose curls, half up half down styles, and of course, the always elegant updo. Your wedding day is a day to get creative with your wedding hairstyle.

When it comes to my dream wedding, I am debating between the half up half down style or an updo. Updos just look so sophisticated and really help to showcase that gorgeous wedding dress. On the other hand, a half up half down style is so romantic.

Do you have an idea in mind for your wedding hairstyle? Would you prefer a half up half down style or an elegant updo?

The Perks of a Wedding Planner

We've all heard the term "bridezilla." When it comes to the big day, there are so many sweet, lovely girls who turn into a total nightmare! The stress of making sure that everything is just so, can be overwhelming.

That is why having a wedding planner can help save the day. They will get the marriage license, take care of the flowers, setting up, finding the venue, and making sure absolutely everything runs smoothly for you. To avoid becoming bridezilla, consider getting a wedding planner or event coordinator if you can afford it.

If money is an issue, you can always consider an affordable wedding package. A wedding package will make your wedding run smoothly! If you want an island or destination wedding, consider a Maui beach wedding. Make sure all the details are taken care of with a wedding planner or event coordinator.

Do you know anyone who has become a "bridezilla" over planning their own wedding?

Here is my question for the day: Would you rather choose a ring with your future groom or be surprised by his choice?

News: Stolen Wedding Cake?

I came across this random wedding story today, and just had to share it with you!

A newlywed couple from Birmingham had a bit of a snag when it came to their special day. One of their wedding guest stole the wedding cake!

The couple claimed that one of their wedding guests stole the cake and gave it to her boyfriend to share with his work colleagues. The woman took the 75-cupcake arrangement home at the end of the wedding and was angry when the couple asked for it back.

Now that is some bad wedding guest etiquette!

Read the full story at: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2243975/Newlywed-couple-report-guest-police-wedding-cake-stolen.html#ixzz2FovboZy9

The Perfect Wedding Flowers

Flowers are an important touch for any wedding. They can tie in your wedding colours, or represent the kind of bride you are. A bouquet of red roses symbolizes a traditional bride, whereas bright colours show that you are a more modern bride!

For that perfect romantic look, flowers are a must at any wedding. If you choose to have a Hawaiian wedding ceremony, the traditional Hawaiian lei is a must for the lei exchange!

At your wedding ceremony, flowers can be used in the bouquet, on the reception tables, to decorate the wedding and reception space, and for your bridal party. In short, flowers are a must! There are so many choices to make when it comes to your wedding flowers. I personally really love the cascade bouquet (pictured above.) It features a beautiful teardrop shape.

Have you given thought to the kind of flowers you want at your wedding?
